{"id":4334,"date":"2020-02-18T11:57:34","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T16:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/avlmediagroup.com\/?p=4334"},"modified":"2022-11-18T10:48:59","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T15:48:59","slug":"tannoy-lab-gruppen-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avlmediagroup.com\/tannoy-lab-gruppen-2\/","title":{"rendered":"New audio system for the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>AVL Media Group<\/strong> was recently approached by <a href=\"https:\/\/straightst.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Straight Street Event Service<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to assist with the creation of a new audio system for the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kwsc.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club<\/a><\/strong> in Waterloo, Ontario. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club, which has more than 2500 members, was looking for a new audio system to address their needs going into the future. They required a system that delivered consistent sound coverage for the rink area (specifically a consistent 80db at the ice surface), and significantly upgraded overall sound quality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The skating club offers many different competitive programs that have trained athletes that are competing at the national and international levels. Quality of sound in support of these athletes was of primary importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the best possible quality, <strong>AVL Media Group <\/strong>recommended <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/avlmediagroup.com\/brand\/tannoy\/\">Tannoy<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/avlmediagroup.com\/brand\/lab-gruppen\/\">Lab Gruppen<\/a> products<\/strong>. Wayne Dietrich from Straight explains that \u201c<em>the high quality 12 inches dual concentric from Tannoy gives us excellent full frequency response with 90-degree dispersion and minimum phase cancellation when compared with most conventional multi-way speakers<\/em>.\u201d Part of the project involved correcting the positioning of the speakers to optimize coverage in the spectator areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EASE model predicted they would need 28 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tannoy.com\/tannoy\/product?modelCode=P0C1Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tannoy CMS 1201DC<\/a>, as well as 2 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tannoy.com\/tannoy\/product.html?modelCode=P0C20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CMS 1201 Subs<\/a> to create a low-frequency extension.
